Job Duties:
Develop System Requirement and Functional Requirement Documents; Develop and document a high-level conceptual data process design for review by data analysts for writing ETL code using Data stage, Talend and Abinitio and test plans; Analyzing, coding, testing, upgrading and building data warehouse using ETL, Data Stage, Talend, Abinitio, Unix Shell Scripting, IBM Information Server, Ascential DataStage 9.1, Quality Stage 8.0.1, Informatica Power Center 8.6 (Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, Repository manager and Informatica Server) Data Junction, Talend V5.4.1, SQL * Loader, Auto Sys, Active Batch, ESP, ZEKE schedulers, Tidal, Control-M; Review and understand data specifications and physical data models to write extract, transform and load (ETL) code and contract generic ETL process; Provide development effort estimates based on available preliminary business requirements; Create design specifications for ETL processes coded for audit and maintainability purposes; Write ETL code within deadlines to deliver project on scheduled timelines; Functional and Unit test ETL code to ensure the code is free of errors; Document the results of functional and unit testing prior to handing over the build code to testing teams; Participate in regular technical peer review sessions to identify non adherence to standards, design and performance issues, improvements of ETL code; Follow the Enterprise Informatics software development life cycle and adhere to ETL code standards and industry best practices; Design and develop automatic job schedule specifications for Control-M scheduler; Contribute to overall architecture by developing end-to-end system design for specific data warehouse or data mart applications.
Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent and related fields such as Information systems/MIS and several years of hands-on experience in software or database analysis, development and support.
